Responsibility
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess project requirements and verify measurements for roofing and structural components.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify project scope and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment required for each project phase.
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost estimates and bids to clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes in design, materials, or labor rates.
- Utilize estimation software and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data to inform future estimates and enhance decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in roofing or structural projects.
- Proficiency in estimation software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or RSMeans.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex construction documents.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Indonesia is a plus.
