Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all university activities meet local, national, and international standards.
- Provide expert guidance on compliance-related matters, including data protection, academic integrity, and financial regulations.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Design and deliver training programs to educate staff and faculty on compliance best practices.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting higher education and adjust policies accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CIPP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role, preferably in the education sector.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to higher education, including data privacy, labor laws, and academic standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them practically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs on compliance topics.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
- Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
