Responsibility
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while respecting their privacy and dignity.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional health to nursing staff, ensuring timely interventions.
- Administer basic nursing care, such as taking vital signs, assisting with mobility, and supporting medication reminders under supervision.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging them in conversations, recreational activities, and social events.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
- Assist during mealtimes, including feeding residents who require help and ensuring dietary preferences or restrictions are followed.
- Document care activities accurately in resident records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams during shift handover.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills in elderly care, dementia support, and palliative care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in elderly care, nursing homes, or healthcare assistance (certification in nursing aide or equivalent is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility to cover urgent staffing needs.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and emergency response procedures.
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting, transferring, and supporting residents with limited mobility.
- Fluency in English (additional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is advantageous).
- Willingness to undergo background checks and provide valid health clearance certificates.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in a diverse care setting.
