Responsibility
- Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire and retain clients in the coal, metals, and mining industries across APAC and global markets.
- Collaborate with internal research teams to translate complex commodity data into actionable insights for clients.
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, client needs, and competitive opportunities in the commodity trading space.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including traders, procurement managers, and executives.
- Deliver customized presentations and demos showcasing Dow Jones’ commodity intelligence tools and datasets.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through proactive outreach, negotiations, and contract closures.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes, geopolitical risks, and technological advancements impacting commodity markets.
- Provide post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within commodities, financial services, or B2B data solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas in a target-driven environment.
- Deep understanding of coal, metals, or mining markets, including supply chains, pricing mechanisms, and key industry players.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English (additional Asian languages, e.g., Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia, are a plus).
- Strong analytical and CRM skills (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools).
- Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, or team collaborations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CMT) are advantageous.
