Responsibility
- Develop and execute commodity strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align procurement strategies with product requirements.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive sustainability initiatives in procurement, ensuring compliance with environmental and ethical standards.
- Analyze spend data and generate reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Support new product introductions by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost optimization and risk management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the manufacturing or electronics industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
