Responsibility

  • Assist the head chef and senior kitchen staff in preparing high-quality Korean dishes, including marinating meats, chopping vegetables, and assembling ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Support in the execution of daily mise en place to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Operate kitchen equipment (e.g., grills, knives, food processors) safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Collaborate with the team to plate dishes according to DRIM’s signature presentation standards.
  • Adhere to recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and maintain consistency.
  • Participate in staff training and development sessions to enhance culinary skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Asian or Korean cuisine (fresh graduates with culinary training are welcome).
  • Basic knowledge of knife skills, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg.
  • Passion for Korean cuisine and a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Certification in food hygiene/safety (e.g., ServSafe) is advantageous.
