Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to Michelin-star standards.
- Follow recipes and portion controls precisely to maintain consistency in dish quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and test new dishes, incorporating local Balinese ingredients where applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
- Support the pastry or hot/cold sections as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the kitchen.
- Participate in staff training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in fine dining or a high-volume restaurant.
- Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and fundamental cooking techniques (e.g., sautĂŠing, roasting, sous-vide).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Knowledge of HACCP or other food safety standards is advantageous.
- Passion for culinary arts and a desire to grow within a Michelin-starred kitchen.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a bonus.
