Responsibility
- Assist senior chefs in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and marinating ingredients.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in dish quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Support in plating and garnishing dishes under the guidance of the head chef.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and restocking supplies.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for menu improvements.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as mixers, grinders, and ovens.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Basic culinary training or certification from a recognized institution (or equivalent experience).
- Passion for cooking and a strong desire to learn and grow in a professional kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
