Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, food plating, and inventory management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
- Handle basic food storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy of ingredients.
- Participate in team briefings and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes and kitchen protocols.
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment by demonstrating teamwork and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications
- Basic culinary training or certification (e.g., from a vocational school or culinary program) is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience in a kitchen environment, such as an internship, part-time role, or culinary school practicum.
