Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to resort standards and recipes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of meals.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Adhere to portion control and waste reduction guidelines to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Participate in daily briefings and contribute ideas for enhancing guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP certification is a plus).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
