Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial trucks to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manual inspections.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
- Replace or repair faulty parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on each vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the fleet management team to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies in commercial truck maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a truck mechanic or in a similar role, preferably with commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in truck maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and certification in automotive or diesel mechanics is a plus.
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to company policies.
