Responsibility
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement commercial strategies to expand container volumes, diversify revenue streams, and strengthen ICTSI’s market position in Central Philippines and beyond.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including global carriers, importers, exporters, and government agencies.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to assess industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities in the maritime sector.
- Pricing & Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for service agreements, tariffs, and long-term contracts to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Operational Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and marketing teams to align commercial objectives with terminal efficiency and service quality.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, analyze commercial performance, and present data-driven insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all commercial activities adhere to local and international maritime regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in commercial or business development roles within the port, shipping, or logistics industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of container terminal operations, shipping line dynamics, and global trade flows.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and deliver results in a high-stakes, international environment.
- Negotiation & Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with C-level executives, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong financial acumen and proficiency in data analysis to evaluate market trends and commercial performance.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Tagalog) are advantageous.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
