Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimations for ship repair projects, ensuring alignment with project scope and client requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary data for cost analysis.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and vendor quotations to refine estimation models and improve accuracy.
- Prepare comprehensive cost reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Monitor project expenditures and compare them against estimated costs to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations in all cost-related activities.
- Participate in bid preparations and negotiations, providing cost-related insights to support decision-making.
- Continuously update knowledge of marine engineering practices, materials, and technologies to enhance estimation processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably within the marine or shipbuilding industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial and technical data analysis.
- Knowledge of marine engineering principles, ship repair processes, and industry standards.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
