Responsibility
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures on accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and related subjects.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments to ensure alignment with industry standards and academic requirements.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, guiding them in their academic and career paths.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles to contribute to the field of accounting and enhance the college's academic reputation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures for students.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, regulations, and technologies in the accounting profession.
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Ph.D. or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in higher education or professional training in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans and assessments.
- Experience with academic research and publication is highly desirable.
