Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and debug CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for a variety of machining operations, including milling, turning, and drilling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous production.
- Collaborate with machine operators to provide technical support, training, and guidance on CNC equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM models to create accurate machining programs.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on CNC machines and recommend upgrades or adjustments to improve performance.
- Monitor tool wear and adjust cutting parameters to extend tool life and maintain precision.
- Document programming changes, process improvements, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in CNC programming and machining.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a CNC Programmer or Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in G-code/M-code programming and familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations, including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning (GD&T).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting machining issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all outputs.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is a plus.
