Responsibility
- Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy of manufactured components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Document and report inspection results, including any deviations or non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Develop and update inspection procedures and quality control documentation as needed.
- Train and mentor junior inspectors and team members on CMM operations and quality assurance practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a CMM Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role within the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in operating CMM machines and interpreting CMM software outputs.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and metrology principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
