As a Class 4 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and repositioning trucks within the warehouse, supporting loading and unloading activities, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibility
- Safely operate and maneuver Class 4 trucks within warehouse premises to support loading and unloading operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate repositioning of vehicles to optimize warehouse workflow and space utilization.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, verifying shipment accuracy and maintaining inventory records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to coordinate daily logistics activities and meet operational deadlines.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, traffic regulations, and warehouse policies to minimize risks and accidents.
- Report any mechanical issues, damages, or discrepancies in shipments to the warehouse supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the truck and designated warehouse areas.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 4 driving license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving Class 4 vehicles or similar heavy vehicles in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and inventory management.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Excellent spatial awareness and ability to maneuver vehicles in tight spaces.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and traffic regulations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and work in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
