Join J&T Express as a Civil & Structural Inspector of Works (IOW) and play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of construction quality and compliance across our projects in Bali. As an IOW, you will be responsible for supervising and inspecting all civil and structural works on-site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
This contract position offers a competitive salary range of RM 10,000 – RM 14,000 per month, along with the chance to work in some of Bali’s most vibrant locations, including Canggu, Ubud, and Denpasar. Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of civil and structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Monitor construction activities on-site, identifying and addressing any deviations from design or safety standards.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project timelines are met.
- Verify the quality of materials and workmanship, conducting tests and assessments as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, fostering a culture of quality and safety.
- Participate in project meetings, offering insights and recommendations based on inspection findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural inspection, preferably in large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and reporting systems.
- Certification in construction inspection or related fields is a plus.
