Responsibility
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare and maintain cost estimates and budgets for civil projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project scope.
- Evaluate tender documents and contractor bids, providing recommendations for award decisions based on cost, quality, and compliance.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure financial feasibility and adherence to timelines.
- Develop and present cost reports and financial analyses to senior management and clients.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with project delays, material shortages, or design changes.
- Stay updated on industry standards, material costs, and construction methodologies to enhance estimation accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, WinQS, or AutoCAD) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, tendering processes, and procurement strategies.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Indonesian construction regulations and local market conditions is advantageous.
