Join the Office of Civil Defense as a Civil Defense Officer I and play a pivotal role in safeguarding communities in Badung, Bali. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to public safety, emergency preparedness, and disaster response in one of Indonesia’s most dynamic regions.
As a Civil Defense Officer, you will work alongside a dedicated team to develop and implement strategies that mitigate risks, protect lives, and ensure resilience in the face of natural disasters, emergencies, and other critical incidents. Your work will directly impact the safety and well-being of residents and visitors in areas such as Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, and Kuta.

Responsibility
- Conduct risk assessments and develop emergency response plans tailored to the unique needs of Badung’s communities.
- Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure effective disaster preparedness and response.
- Organize and lead public awareness campaigns on civil defense, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate potential hazards, including natural disasters, and implement proactive mitigation measures.
- Assist in the training and deployment of volunteer teams for emergency response and search-and-rescue operations.
- Maintain and update databases of emergency contacts, resources, and infrastructure for rapid response.
- Prepare and submit reports on civil defense activities, incidents, and post-disaster evaluations.
- Provide on-the-ground support during emergencies, including evacuation coordination and resource distribution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Disaster Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil defense, emergency management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of disaster risk reduction (DRR) strategies and local/regional emergency protocols.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-agency efforts.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and emergency planning software.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional local languages (e.g., Balinese) are a plus.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, or emergency response is highly desirable.
