Responsibility
- Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes according to traditional recipes and modern culinary standards.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food storage, and waste reduction.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals to meet customer expectations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and special promotions.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on Chinese cooking techniques and best practices.
- Monitor and order kitchen supplies and ingredients to maintain stock levels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chinese Cook or similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, including regional specialties and cooking methods.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Creativity and passion for developing new dishes and enhancing existing recipes.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
