Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a team of radiologic technologists, ensuring adherence to protocols, safety standards, and best practices in medical imaging.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and calibration of radiology equipment, including X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound machines.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to maintain the highest standards of image accuracy and patient safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of diagnostic imaging into patient care plans.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and procurement of radiology supplies and equipment.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with local and international radiology regulations, including radiation safety and patient privacy laws.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce wait times, and optimize patient throughput in the radiology department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Valid license or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (e.g., ARRT, local equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of radiology equipment, techniques, and safety protocols, including radiation protection.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Proven ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality control measures in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare management software and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement in service delivery.
