Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Radiology Department, ensuring adherence to protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the performance of radiologic technologists, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high standard of care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize departmental efficiency and patient throughput.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic imaging, supporting clinical decision-making and patient treatment plans.
- Manage and maintain radiology equipment, coordinating with vendors for servicing, upgrades, and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols, including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, to protect patients and staff.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Stay abreast of advancements in radiologic technology and techniques, integrating best practices into departmental operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license and certification (e.g., ARRT or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in radiology, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of radiographic, CT, MRI, and ultrasound procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive operational improvements in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., JCI, ISO) and local regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in PACS, RIS, and other radiology information systems.
