Responsibility
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the Fast Supply Vessel (FSV) in accordance with company policies and international maritime regulations.
- Manage cargo operations, ensuring proper loading, stowage, and unloading of supplies and equipment.
- Supervise and mentor junior officers and crew members, fostering a culture of safety and professionalism.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vessel's seaworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of vessel operations, including navigation, cargo, and safety drills.
- Coordinate with the Captain and shore-based management to ensure effective communication and operational planning.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including emergency response procedures and drills.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices for sustainable maritime operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Chief Officer (C/O) certificate of competency (STCW II/2).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chief Officer or similar role on offshore support vessels.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse crew.
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with Fast Supply Vessels (FSVs) and offshore operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging offshore environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
