Responsibility
- Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations to ensure optimal functionality of hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, compliance standards, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Front Office) to address guest concerns and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement for engineering supplies, equipment, and capital projects.
- Develop and execute long-term maintenance plans and energy-efficient initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to local regulations, industry standards, and brand guidelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency repairs and critical system failures, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation for luxury hospitality properties.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and local compliance requirements in Indonesia.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to management.
- Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and budgeting tools.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly advantageous.
- Certifications in project management (PMP), energy efficiency, or hospitality engineering are a plus.
