Responsibility
- Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure all property systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural) operate efficiently and safely.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Oversee compliance with local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with the operations team to align engineering initiatives with guest experience and business goals.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships for engineering-related projects and supplies.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy conservation, water management, and waste reduction programs.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate repairs to ensure minimal disruption to guests and operations.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering operations and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Experience with sustainability practices and energy-efficient technologies in hospitality settings.
- Proficient in budget management, cost control, and vendor negotiations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia or others) are a plus.
- Certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA) or hospitality engineering (e.g., CHA) are highly desirable.
