Responsibility
- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular checks on production parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates to ensure product quality.
- Perform timely sampling and testing of chemical batches to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation, ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process deviations and escalate complex technical issues to the Engineering team.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of reactors, mixing vessels, and piping systems.
- Adhere strictly to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial processing environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical handling, safety protocols, and hazardous material management.
- Ability to work on rotating shifts or a 12-hour shift pattern as required.
- Proficient in operating automated control systems (DCS/PLC experience is an advantage).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for batch adjustments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
