Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the chemical painting team to ensure efficient and high-quality surface coating processes.
- Monitor and optimize painting parameters (e.g., viscosity, temperature, curing time) to achieve consistent and defect-free finishes.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for painting, pretreatment, and post-treatment processes.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct inspections and address coating defects or inconsistencies.
- Manage inventory of paints, chemicals, and consumables, ensuring timely procurement and cost-effective usage.
- Train and mentor team members on safety protocols, equipment operation, and best practices in chemical handling.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall process efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in chemical painting, surface coating, or a related role in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, including spray painting, dip coating, and powder coating.
- Familiarity with quality control methods (e.g., adhesion testing, thickness measurement, visual inspection).
- Experience leading a team of operators, with a track record of improving productivity and reducing defects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, process specifications, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Proficient in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor maintenance on painting machinery.
- Willingness to work overtime and adapt to shift schedules as required by production demands.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia (preferred).
