Responsibility
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical dosing systems, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental standards.
- Monitor and analyze water samples to assess treatment efficiency, identify contaminants, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, perform routine inspections, and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure continuous plant operation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of treatment processes, water quality data, and equipment performance for regulatory reporting and internal analysis.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance treatment efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations and safety protocols in all aspects of plant operations.
- Collaborate with engineers, environmental specialists, and other stakeholders to support project initiatives and operational goals.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff or operators on best practices in wastewater treatment and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or a similar role in an industrial or municipal setting.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, including chemical dosing, biological treatment, and sludge management.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards, such as ISO 14001 or local Indonesian wastewater guidelines.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment for water quality testing and data analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and operational manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
