Responsibility
- Oversee the daily loading and unloading of chemicals to and from tanker trucks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Receive and inspect chemical shipments from chemical tankers (barges) during shipment, verifying quantity and quality.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of chemicals, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Conduct regular inspections of storage tanks and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to coordinate the timely and efficient movement of chemicals.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Prepare and submit reports on chemical handling activities, including any incidents or discrepancies.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in chemical handling, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of chemical safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for inventory management and reporting.
