Responsibility
- Prepare and cook traditional Indonesian dishes, including Gudeg and Mercon Bu, according to standardized recipes.
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen supervisor.
- Follow portion control and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and presentation.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cook or Kitchen Assistant, preferably in Indonesian or traditional cuisine.
- Knowledge of Gudeg, Mercon Bu, or other regional Indonesian dishes is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
