Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality Western and Chinese dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local regulations and Holiday Innâs policies.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and seamless service during peak hours.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Monitor food presentation and plating to uphold the resortâs reputation for excellence.
- Participate in kitchen meetings and contribute ideas for menu innovation and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve any culinary-related concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Proven expertise in both Western and Chinese cuisine, with a strong understanding of ingredients, techniques, and cultural nuances.
- Formal culinary education (e.g., diploma or certificate from a recognized culinary school) is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or Mandarin is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is preferred.
