Responsibility
- Prepare and produce a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and breads according to PAUL’s recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu development and introduce creative pastry ideas while maintaining brand consistency.
- Ensure all food preparation, cooking, and production activities adhere to hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and minimize waste to optimize cost efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance kitchen environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section, adhering to HACCP and local health regulations.
- Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef to execute seasonal promotions and special events.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-volume bakery, hotel, or fine-dining establishment.
- Formal culinary or pastry certification from a recognized institution (e.g., Le Cordon Bleu, local culinary schools).
- Strong knowledge of French pastry techniques, bread-making, and dessert presentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety standards, and local health regulations in Indonesia.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in pastry arts.
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of French or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
