Responsibility
- Prepare and cook Oriental and Western dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety, hygiene, and kitchen protocols.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and refine menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
- Manage inventory and stock levels for your station, minimizing waste and optimizing cost efficiency.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and plated according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff and conducting quality checks to uphold culinary excellence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new cooking methods, and emerging ingredients to enhance menu offerings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume kitchen, with expertise in both Oriental and Western cuisine.
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary innovation and menu development.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate junior staff.
