Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements (vegan, gluten-free, etc.).
- Manage and organize your assigned station, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop innovative, health-conscious menus aligned with Heal Uluwatu’s wellness philosophy.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and minimize food waste through proper storage and rotation.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
- Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment, complying with all HACCP and local health regulations.
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes to meet the retreat’s aesthetic and nutritional standards.
- Participate in daily pre-service briefings and contribute ideas for menu improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-end restaurant, resort, or wellness retreat.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of plant-based, organic, and locally sourced ingredients, with a passion for healthy cooking.
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Creative mindset with the ability to adapt recipes to meet dietary restrictions and wellness goals.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
