Responsibility
- Prepare and present high-quality baked goods, pastries, and café dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Manage and organize your assigned station, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist in menu development and recipe testing to introduce innovative and seasonal offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for ingredients, and minimize waste through proper storage and rotation.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and skill-driven team environment.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards in all kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Pastry Chef to maintain consistency in taste, portion control, and plating.
- Participate in daily pre-service briefings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef De Partie, Pastry Chef, or similar role in a high-volume bakery, café, or fine-dining establishment.
- Formal culinary education (e.g., diploma in culinary arts or pastry) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and food cost control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire others.
- Familiarity with international cuisine, particularly European or artisanal baking, is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is preferred.
