Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared fresh daily, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Decorate and plate desserts with artistic precision to enhance visual appeal.
- Support the head pastry chef in training and mentoring junior staff members.
- Adhere to cost control measures to minimize waste and optimize ingredient usage.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in culinary arts, pastry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a hotel or fine-dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
