Responsibility
- Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., sauces, pastry, grill, or garde manger) with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, adhering to recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste to optimize kitchen operations.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to develop new menu items and refine existing dishes.
- Enforce strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Assist in managing kitchen workflow during peak hours to ensure timely and high-quality service.
- Participate in regular tastings and quality checks to maintain consistency and excellence in every dish.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a Chef de Partie or similar role.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety regulations.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and staying updated on culinary trends.
