Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook breakfast items, special meals, and substitute menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment including ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, ensuring proper temperature regulation
  • Manage food inventory by pulling items from freezer storage for thawing and proper rotation of stock
  • Ensure all food preparation meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to develop and refine menu items
  • Monitor food waste and implement cost-control measures without compromising quality
  • Assist in training junior kitchen staff and commis chefs on proper techniques and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Respond to guest requests and dietary requirements with professionalism and creativity

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a Chef de Partie role
  • Diploma or certification from a recognized culinary school (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working in luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end restaurants
  • Strong knowledge of Western and Asian breakfast cuisines
  • Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in hot kitchen environments
  • Basic English communication skills (additional languages are a plus)
