Responsibility
- Greet and assist customers, offering personalized recommendations, cheese tastings, and food pairing suggestions.
- Manage daily retail operations, including cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, and inventory management.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, portioning, and packaging of cheeses and other perishable gourmet products to maintain quality and hygiene standards.
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the retail floor and tasting areas.
- Monitor stock levels, receive incoming deliveries, and assist with stock replenishment and quality checks.
- Handle customer feedback professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail, food & beverage (F&B), or hospitality is highly advantageous, but passionate newcomers are welcome to apply.
- A genuine interest in gourmet food, cheese, wine, and culinary arts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, energetic team.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using modern POS retail systems.
- Willingness to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle light lifting of inventory.
