Recron Malaysia is a global leader in the textile and polymer industry, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Competent Person to join our manufacturing operations in Nilai. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our environmental compliance, operational efficiency, and commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices.
As our ETP specialist, you will be responsible for the daily monitoring, control, and optimization of our effluent treatment processes. You will ensure that all operations strictly adhere to the Environmental Quality Act and relevant DOE regulations. Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and ensure all treated effluent discharge complies with DOE standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular water quality sampling and analysis, maintaining accurate records for environmental reporting.
- Manage the dosing and chemical usage for the treatment process to improve cost-efficiency.
- Troubleshoot technical issues within the treatment plant and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit timely environmental reports to management and relevant authorities as required.
- Provide technical training and guidance to plant operators on safe handling and ETP maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency as an ETP Competent Person (BP or PCP) issued by the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in managing industrial effluent treatment plants.
- In-depth knowledge of the Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluent) Regulations 2009.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
