Responsibility
- Conduct rapid health assessments for patients with animal bites, including wound evaluation and risk stratification.
- Administer vaccines (e.g., rabies, tetanus) and medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in minor surgical procedures, such as wound cleaning, debridement, and suturing.
- Provide post-treatment care, including dressing changes, infection monitoring, and patient education on bite prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with clinic protocols and health regulations.
- Educate patients and communities on animal bite first aid, rabies awareness, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and public health officials for case reporting and follow-up.
- Ensure a sterile and safe clinical environment by adhering to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Nursing License (local or international, with eligibility to practice in Indonesia).
- Certification in Animal Bite Management or Rabies Prevention (mandatory).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in emergency, trauma, or infectious disease care.
- Strong knowledge of wound care, infection control, and vaccination protocols.
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages, such as Indonesian or Spanish, are a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments with a high volume of patients.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to public health education.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
