Responsibility
- Conduct material testing and analysis to ensure ceramic products meet quality and durability standards.
- Develop and refine ceramic formulations, glazes, and firing processes to enhance product performance.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including kilns, spectrophotometers, and viscosity meters.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations in the laboratory.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in ceramic engineering.
- Assist in the training of junior technicians and interns on laboratory procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a ceramic laboratory or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ceramic materials, glazing techniques, and kiln operations.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical tools for material testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with quality control standards (ISO, ASTM) is a plus.
- Good communication skills in English and Indonesian.
