Responsibility
- Develop and maintain comprehensive workforce schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage across healthcare departments.
- Monitor and verify timekeeping records for accuracy, addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with department heads to forecast staffing needs and adjust schedules proactively.
- Implement compliance protocols for labor laws, union agreements, and internal policies.
- Utilize scheduling software (e.g., Kronos, Workday) to automate and optimize shift assignments.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and last-minute staffing gaps with minimal disruption.
- Generate reports and analytics on staffing efficiency, overtime trends, and resource allocation.
- Train and support staff on timekeeping systems and scheduling best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in workforce scheduling, preferably in healthcare.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Meditech, Epic, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to balance staffing demands with budget constraints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with medical and administrative teams.
