Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations in the hot kitchen, ensuring efficient and high-quality food preparation.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff to maintain consistent culinary standards.
- Develop and implement innovative menu items in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
- Coordinate with the F&B team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the kitchen.
- Assist in cost control measures to optimize kitchen profitability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CDP or similar role in a hot kitchen setting, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
- Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new dishes and enhancing menu offerings.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP certification is a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
