Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, and signature drinks, with consistent flavor and presentation.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, and report shortages to management.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and cleaning procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, POS system management, and end-of-day reporting.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and menu offerings to provide expert guidance to customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop or high-volume café.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and milk texturing techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian) are a plus.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
