Responsibility

  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to authentic Korean cooking techniques and presentation standards.
  • Develop and refine menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and modern twists on traditional Korean dishes.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food cost control, and hygiene compliance.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Train and supervise junior chefs, stewards, and cooks in Korean culinary methods and safety protocols.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, portion control, and plating consistency.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and ensure the procurement of premium ingredients.
  • Assist in event planning and catering services, delivering exceptional Korean dining experiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Supervisor (SPV) or Head Chef in a Korean restaurant or fine dining establishment.
  • Proven expertise in Korean cuisine, including fermentation, grilling, and banchan preparation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovating traditional Korean dishes.
  • Fluency in English and/or Korean is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
