Responsibility
- Assist the ship's cook in preparing and serving meals for the crew.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the galley and dining areas.
- Ensure food storage and handling comply with maritime health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to crew members during meal times.
- Assist in menu planning and meal preparation based on crew preferences and dietary requirements.
- Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures aboard the vessel.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and confined environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks.
- Willingness to travel and work on a contractual basis.
- Basic English proficiency for effective communication.
- STCW certification or maritime training is a plus.
