Responsibility
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for grocery categories to maximize profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify pricing trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and marketing teams to align pricing with promotional strategies and inventory goals.
- Monitor and adjust pricing models based on cost fluctuations, demand elasticity, and seasonal trends.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts to support data-driven decision-making for senior leadership.
- Optimize category performance by analyzing sales data, margin contributions, and customer insights.
- Ensure compliance with company pricing policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cross-functional pricing initiatives to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing, category management, or retail analytics, preferably in the grocery/FMCG sector.
- Proven track record in pricing strategy development and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or pricing software (e.g., Revionics, SAP).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of retail economics, demand forecasting, and competitive benchmarking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with a focus on results.
- Experience in Southeast Asian markets (especially Indonesia) is highly advantageous.
