Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and execution of buying sessions by compiling accurate product data, pricing, and supplier information.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing overstock or shortages.
- Analyze sales trends, customer preferences, and market data to recommend product assortments and promotions.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop and implement category plans that align with company goals and seasonal demands.
- Maintain and update product databases, including item descriptions, SKUs, and pricing, to ensure accuracy across all systems.
- Support the creation of visual merchandising guidelines to enhance product presentation and customer engagement in stores.
- Assist in negotiating with vendors to secure competitive pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Generate reports on category performance, inventory turnover, and sales metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in retail merchandising, inventory management, or purchasing (fresh graduates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and retail management software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Familiarity with retail KPIs (e.g., GMROI, sell-through rates) is a plus.
